About Us

The Centre is conceptualized and established to encourage studies and research on various aspects of spirituality/mysticism and to provide a spiritual response to the growing ideological conflicts and cultural and intellectual challenges of the world. ICSS is an academic and research oriented centre with a mandate of working on such issues that have largely marginalized the spiritual development of the present day human being. Besides, engaging with diverse spiritual traditions of the world, ICSS aims at exploring issues in the Comparative Study of Religions and mysticism. The Centre also envisions to a focus on such traditions that have been enriching the spiritual heritage of Kashmir.
