The Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies (CREST), established as per University Office Order No. 316 of 2023 dated 05-06-2023, is gearing up for its operational phase. CREST is dedicated to promoting academic excellence, research, and outreach in renewable energy, green technologies, and sustainability, with a particular focus on Jammu & Kashmir. Our vision is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to offer innovative solutions that address energy and environmental challenges. Our mission is to foster an interdisciplinary research culture within the university, aligned with the SDGs, and to provide innovative solutions for integrating sustainable technology into developmental planning. We strive to offer training and knowledge-based technological services to meet the needs of society and industry for a cleaner and sustainable environment. At CREST, we are committed to inspiring, motivating, and catalyzing the reduction of carbon footprint in Jammu & Kashmir. Through knowledge sharing, awareness campaigns, and collaborative efforts with stakeholders, we aim to create an ecosystem that minimizes the adverse impacts of development on the environment.
