About Us

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science, one of the pioneering departments of Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) Kashmir. The department was established in the year 2006 with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science. The department has a vibrant student body numbering around 150 and faculty numbering nearly 13. About 90% of students are postgraduates, mostly supported by government of India scholarships and rest 10% of students are Ph. D Scholars.

The Department initially started with AICTE approved postgraduate program of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in the year 2006. This program is to inform, challenge, and train our diverse student body for a constantly changing world of technology.
