About Us

The Centre for Vocational Studies was established in 2018 with an objective to promote skill-based higher education in order to reduce the gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower. Currently, the Centre is offering an undergraduate programme leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) in Medical Lab & Molecular Diagnostic Technology. The programme is funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Deen Dayal Upadhayay Kaushal Kendra Scheme. The curriculum of this programme is designed to impart knowledge, skills, and aptitude required for a successful career in the field of health sciences, particularly in diagnostics. It is divided into six semesters and each semester includes significant skill-based laboratory work and field visits. The Centre has well-equipped facilities for providing hands-on training and exposure to all fundamental technologies that are part of a standard level Medical lab and Molecular Diagnostic Technology course.
