DIC@IUST was established in 2015 with emphasis on developing an environment and facilities centered on Product Design. Since 2015, DIC@IUST has established a state-of-the-art hardware and software lab at IUST and has been providing hassle-free access to students and faculty for realizing their innovative projects and ideas. Since inception we have been promoting a culture of innovation and creative problem solving amongst the student community, imparting design-based education and practice and creating an ecosystem facilitating students and faculty to take their innovative ideas from classrooms/labs to market/people.

Over the years, DIC@IUST has developed as a focal point for experiential learning, design and innovation on campus where a variety of activities, events and workshops are organized throughout the year. We have funded more than sixty student driven innovative ideas till now, and many of them later developed into successful prototypes which were patented.

We aspire to continue serving our student community, keep providing them a space where their creativity is nurtured, where they are allowed to tinker, experiment and make mistakes, and where the seeds of their growth into successful entrepreneurs, technologists and competent professionals are sown.
